STUDENTS will LEARN about THE ALPHABET. The purpose of this lesson is to familiarize the students with the alphabet; reciting, identifying, and producing the sounds of the individual letters. Students will trace, color, connect letters and other activities to explore the alphabet and expand their learning of the ABC's.

Family Activities
Here are a few activities for the whole family to enjoy while learning and exploring the alphabet. Use these activities to point out different letter and sounds of the alphabet.
Take a trip to the park or zoo and point out animals and identify what letter the animal starts with.
Pick a letter and go for a walk or drive and point out people, places and things that start with that letter.
Do a scavenger hunt around the house for items that start with a certain letter. You can do a different letter each day.
