CURRICULUM TOOLS
To teach is to touch a life forever.
ASSESSMENT TOOLS
ASQ (Ages & Stages Questionnaire)
ASQ-3 is a set of questionnaires about children’s development from 2 to 66 months which can be self-administered by parents/caregivers. Doing this screening provides a quick look at how children are doing in important areas, such as communication, physical ability, social skills, and problem-solving skills. ASQ-3 can help identify a child’s strengths as well as any areas where the child may need support. It helps to identify when a referral to health professionals is needed.
ASQ-SE2 is a set of questionnaires focused solely on social-emotional development in young children. Doing this screening provides insight and early identification of social-emotional challenges can make all the difference to a young child. The proof is undeniable: the earlier a behavioral concern is identified, the greater the chance a child has for reaching his or her full potential in life. This is the driving force behind Ages & Stages Questionnaires®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition (ASQ®:SE-2)—a parent-completed, highly reliable system focused solely on social-emotional development in young children. Accurately identifying behavior through ASQ:SE-2 paves the way for next steps—further assessment, specialized intervention or ongoing monitoring, for examples—to help children reach their fullest potential during their most formative early years.
Online calculator to help determine "ASQ Age" for the purposes of the ASQ assessment. Additionally, there is a calculator that helps you score the screening results to properly assess the child's score in terms of development so that our learning tools and lesson plans can be intentional for the child and/or to recommend/refer additional services.
This guide provides a quick look at the 36 COR Advantage items and the eight levels within each item. Using COR Advantage, teachers capture and record child development through anecdotes, photos, and videos, and then use that valuable insight to create individualized lesson plans based on child and classroom progress. Keep this guide close at hand as you observe children and review anecdotes.
This guide enables users to score the instrument accurately, using sample anecdotes and easy-to-understand explanations given for each assessment item and level. Included are 36 COR items identifying key concepts and skills in nine content areas. Each item has eight scoring levels (ranging from 0 to 7) that allow teachers to pinpoint the developmental changes measured by the tool. Using this guide not only ensures valid scoring but also gives teachers a better understanding of each child’s learning needs.
CLASSROOM TOOLS
Each daily routine card clearly identifies parts of a typical preschool classroom day, allowing children to easily anticipate and plan for what happens next. Each of the 21 cards has easy-to-read pictures with time-of-day names. They are sized in proportion to the amount of time devoted to that segment of the day and can be displayed vertically or horizontally. Blank cards are also included for special segments of the day such as field trips.
