Learning Link

STUDENTS will be able to IDENTIFY DIFFERENT COMMUNITY HELPERS and their careers. These activities can help kids identify community helpers in their neighborhoods and understand what their purpose is. Community Helpers cover many groups of people who help in our neighborhoods and community. The people in the community help each other by offering goods and services. Come learn and have fun with these community helpers preschool activities.

Family Activities

Here are a few activities for the whole family to enjoy while learning and exploring community helpers. Use these activities to point out different community helpers, how each community helper contributes to our world and the similarity/differences of each community helper.

Schedule a trip to the doctor so kids can experience what doctor's do.

Schedule a trip to the dentist so that kids can experience what dentist's do.

Take a bus ride or Q Line train ride to learn about what bus drivers do.

Go for a drive and point out different vehicles like garbage trucks, delivery trucks, emergency vehicles and police cars.
